Kudos ... So far...
Dec 6th at Hobart: Congrats to Jasmine Poles for breaking her 2 year old record in the 300 and getting a automatic performance in the long jump. Also congrats to the Boys 4 X 200 of Joe Schwab, Jon Locke, Mike Wilmoth and Alonzo Wilson for their first place finish. It was great to see Zo pass the Batavia team and take over the top spot heading into the final turn. I was very impressed with the boys 4 x 400 team of Conor O'Halloran, Jake Krautwurst, Jack Bennett and Dan Carlson and how they set a great early season time. Jack Bennett, Jake Krautwurst and Dan Carlson also set automatic / provisional performances in the 600. Joe Schwab got a provisional time in the 55, while Jon Locke and Alonzo Wilson got qualifying times in the 300. Conor O'Halloran qualified in the triple jump with Ethan Belcher, who also qualified in the Long Jump. Several runners set career personal records over performances in previous years: Joe Hempfling set career PR's in both the 600 and 1000, Kara Miller set a PR in the 600 along with several runners that set PR's in the relays. Many of the young athletes had impressive first performances as they showed the tenacity I like to see. 10 Automatic / Provisional Performances RESULTS
Dec 13th at UR: Congrats to Brogan O'Halloran for tying her school record in the High Jump. Jasmine finished 2nd in the 55, while molly got within 12 seconds of the school record in the racewalk with her second place finish. Rachel threw almost 20 feet in shot, an impressive feat for a young thrower. Zo finished a mear .06 off of the school record in the 55. Jake Krautwursts thrid place in the 1000 was less than half a second away from winning. Eric Hayes and Damon Belcher set personal records in the shot and long jump. Automatic / Provisional performances went to Jasmine in the 55 and LJ, Brogan in the HJ, and Molly in the Racewalk. For the Boys team, Zo in the 55 and 300, Jon Locke in the 300, Jake Krautwurst in the 1000, Dan Carlson in the 55 H and Pole Vault, Joe Schwab in the 55 Hurdles, Ethan in the HJ and LJ along with Conor in the LJ and Jake Bortle in the Shot. 15 Automatic / Provisional Performances RESULTS
Dec 23 at RIT: Congrats to Katie Hughes for setting the Pole Vault School Record and getting a sectional qualifying performance. We had many excellent performances tonight, despite the time off caused by snow days. The boys 4 x 400 relay team of Jack Bennett, Jake Krautwurst, Conor O'Halloran and Dan Carlson finished 2nd overall and was less than a second off of the school record. Automatic / Provisional performances went to: Jasmine in the 55, 300 and Long Jump as well as Brogan in the HJ and Molly in the Racewalk. For the boys team, Zo got closer to the school record in the 55 with a run that was only .03 off of it. He also qualified in the 300. Jon Locke qualified in the 55, Jack in the 1000, Kraut missed the school record in the mile by a half of a second and Paul missed an automatic performance in the 3200 by 3 seconds. Ethan continued to jump well with his qualifying performances in the HJ and Long Jump. Dan and Joe vaulted well enough to get qualifying performances. 16 Automatic / Provisional Performances RESULTS
Dec 30 at RIT: An excellent day of racing for both the boys and girls teams. We had 22 Automatic / Provisional Performances today!!!. Katie Hughes set another School Record in the Pole Vault, and Senior Molly Eadie broke the race walk school record that dates back to State Qualifiers in 2004. Kara Miller got her first Provisional Performance with a personal record in the 600. Also earning automatic / provisional performances were Brogan in the High Jump and 300, and Jasmine in the 300 and Long Jump. In the boys events, Dan Carlson set a new school record in the 600 and also qualified in the 55 Hurdles. Joe Schwab had his best day of vaulting in a while with an 11' 0 performance.
