Tuesday April 22 - LeRoy - 111 Warsaw - 27, LeRoy - 95 Pavilion 44 - Nice way to begin the season. Mike Humphrey tied the school record in the High Jump with a 6' 3 jump. 11 athletes got 15 provisional performances and 12 athletes got 17 automatic performances - for a total of 32 auto / provisional performances in the first meet. Marcus won the Shot / Disc, Alonzo won the 100 / 200, Gike won the 110 Hurdles, 400 Hurdles and High Jump. Also Ethan won Triple Jump, Joe won Pole Vault and Kraut won the 3200. We won all 3 relays with Nick, Joe, VB and Zo in the 4 x 100 - Nick, Cody, Dan and Conor in the 4 x 400 - Dan, Ty, Bishop and Kraut in the 4 x 800.

Saturday April 26 - Webster Invitational at Webster Thomas HS - PICTURES -  Congratulations to Marcus for breaking the School Record in the Discus with his 138' 9" throw. (it was his only throw because of the lightning delay that canceled the rest of the meet). Solid performances by several athletes in the events they were able to get in. Both the 400 Relay and 1600 Relays ran their best time of the season - and more importantly - they ran the best early season times of the past few years. Donny, Bortle, and Kovach all set PR's in field events. 14 Provisional / Automatic Performances in the portion of the meet before the cancelation.

Tuesday April 29 - LeRoy - 90 Perry - 50 PICTURES - A good tune up / workout for most everyone. Several athletes got the opportunity to run different events - partly as a speed workout and partly to see how people do in them. 28 Provisional / Automatic Performances

Friday May 2 - FIRST PLACE at the LeRoy Invitational - PICTURES - 14 Personal Records, an improved new school record and another tied school record... not a bad night.  Congrats to Mike Humphrey for tying the 110 Hurdles record and to Marcus for improving his Discus Record. Tough break for the 3200 relay that missed that much desired record by half a second... that was a tough goal to accomplish without anyone pushing you. Gary and Rise both went sub 63 in the 400 Hurdles for the first time since late in the season last year. The 4 x 8 and 4 x 4 both ran excellent times for this early in the season. Joe had his best vault this year so far - between indoor and outdoor. Jack ran a career PR in the 3200 after being out sick - great job. Cody continues to drop his times and improve as he learns more strategies of the sport. Top places on the track went to: Alonzo in the 100 and 200 (2nd),   Nick in the 400 (3rd), Cody and Dan in the 800 (2nd, 3rd), Kraut in the mile (1st), Mike in the 110 (2nd) and 400 H (1st), 3rd place for the 4 x 1, 2nd place for the 4 x 4 and firs place for the 4 x 8. In the field events: Marcus won the discus with Bortle in 3rd, Mike in the HJ (3rd) and Ian (4th), Ethan, Mike, Rise took 2 - 3- 6 in Triple Jump. 29 Automatic / Provisional Performances

Tuesday May 6 - LeRoy 83 - Letchworth 58  35 Automatic / Provisional Performances for Sectionals. Great job by some of the younger guys to step up when a handful of guys had to leave for religious reasons. Marcsu won the Discus with another school record breaking throw. Cody continued to improve in the 800 as he held off a tough finish by one of the top runners in the league. Jake ran a very impressive mile at the end of the meet. Joe set a personal record in the pole vault.

Saturday May 10 - FIRST PLACE at the Batavia Invitational - LeRoy 142, Alexander 129, Batavia 108:  28 Automatic / Provisional Performances. First places went to: Ian with a tie for the school record in High Jump, Marcus in the Discus, Joe in the Pole Vault, and Mike with a school record breaking 110 Hurdles. Great performances by all of our athletes. I was really pleased at how the team stayed focused throughout the entire meet. We stuck to what we knows works - picking up points as the meet moves on. We never got down - not even when we were 20 points behind the leaders. Great job everyone.

Tuesday May 13 - LeRoy 100 -  Avon 41  PICTURES   30 Automatic / Provisional Performances. First place to Dan in the 400 H with a PR, Zo in the 100, Jack in the 800, Nick in the 400, Mike in the 110 Hurdles and Jack in the mile. Also LeRoy won all 3 relays with  Nick, Joe, Ian and Zo in the 400 Relay; Conor, Donny,  Nick and Matt in the 1600 Relay and Paul, Dan, Vince and Cody in the 3200 Relay. In the field events, Marcus won the shot, Mike won the Triple and High Jump and Ian won the Long Jump.  The 400 Relay team ran their best time of the season so far.

Saturday May 17 - Royal Comet Invitational at Rush - Hen. PICTURES Second place in the discus to Marcus, 3rd place in the Pent to Risewick, 5th place in the vault to Joe / 3200 Relay of Jack, Ty, Dan  and Cody.  Marcus also finished 6th  in the Shot to round out our medal winners.   We had some excellent performances considering the wind, rain and cold. Certainly the worst weather we have had this season. Despite the weather, we still had a handful of Personal Records. Jack dropped 7 seconds from his career 3200 record, Conor ran his fastest 400 of the season and had his fastest split on the 1600 relays. Risewick set a personal record in the pent 110 Hurdles, and Ethan got back to  his triple and long jump form with a PR in long and his best triple in a while. Despite our limited team as as limits on entries - we still pulled down 15 Automatic / Provisional Performances on a windy day.

Tuesday May 20 - LeRoy 114 - Cal Mum 27: A very solid performance at the track we race on for the next two weeks. 38 Automatic / Provisional Performance !!!!!  This was a great opportunity for us, and in just about every event, we stepped up to the opportunity. Winning for LeRoy were Alonzo in the 100, Nick in the 200, Conor in the 400, Tyler in the mile, Paul in the 2 mile (first career win), Ian in the High Jump. Double winners were: Ethan in the long and triple, Marcus in shot and discus, Joe in the 110 H and vault and Dan in the 400 H and 800. LeRoy also won all 3 relays.

Thursday May 22 / Friday May 23 - LCAA Championships: 2 New School Records (Mike in the Pent and the 3200 Relay Team of Dan, Jack, Ty, Cody), 3 LCAA Champions (Ian in HJ, Mike in Pent, and Ethan in Triple Jump), 8 Division 2 All - Stars (Mike in Pent, 3200 Relay team, Marcus in Shot and Discus, Ian in HJ and tied for all star in PV, Ethan in Triple, and Jack in Steeple) Overall, 27 Automatic / Provisional Performances with 10 Personal Records. Results are on the lcaa website. Pictures

Wednesday May 28 - Boys and Girls Frosh / Soph Meet at Cal - Mum Several new Personal Records and a few individual places. Congrats to Anson for a 5th place finish in the long jump and 100. He also finished 3rd in the 200 and anchored the 4th place 400 Relay team with Eric, Brian and Joe K. Damon set a personal record in the triple jump.

Saturday May 31 - FIRST PLACE in CLASS CCC Sectional Championships at Cal - Mum First and foremost, congratulations to the boys TEAM for their accomplishment at repeating as sectional champions. The boys showed their discipline as they avoided all of the DQ problems that plagued the meet. Congratulations to the 7 boys that won sectional championships patches for their events. I am equally proud of the efforts of many of our young runners who stepped up and embraced the challenge of helping the team - regardless of what their seed was - and learned a great lesson in doing so. Statistically, we scored in 18 of the 19 events (better than last years 17 of 19) and scored multiple places in 6 of those 18 events (better than last years 5 double score events) These past 2 years have been a roller coaster of emotion with the ups and downs our team has faced and overcome on the track as well as off. I am very happy with the way our athletes dedicate themselves to the ideas and principals of what now makes up LeRoy Track and Field. Pictures

Fri June 6 - State Qualifiers at Marion - Congratulations to the 3200 Relay team of Jack Bennett, Cody Niccloy, Tyler Murray and Dan Carlson for destroying the school record with their second place finish in small school.
